‘Also starring Lee Latchford-Evans, Janice Connolly, Stephanie Dooley, Steve Royle, Linzi Matthews, Siobhan Phillips, Mark J. Olszewski and Ray Taylor’

From the pen of Award-Winning Comic, Ben Nickless, comes TROUBLE WITH KIDS, a laugh out loud new play about fertility, fame, family and friendship.

Trouble With Kids is at Hope Mill Theatre in Manchester from Wednesday 17th to Saturday 28th February 2027

The cast includes Lee Latchford-Evans (Steps, & Juliet) Janice Connolly (Phoenix Nights) Ben Nickless (Britain’s Got Talent) Stephanie Dooley (BBC’s Riot Women) Steve Royle (The Last Laugh) Linzi Matthews (Blood Brothers) Siobhan Phillips (Rita, Sue & Bob Too) Mark J. Olszewski (The Full Monty) and introducing Ray Taylor as Bobby.

Will and Marc are best mates and both have showbiz lives. Will is a national treasure—rich, famous, adored—but his marriage is strained by infertility. Marc is a jobbing comic with a wife, kids and a crumbling career.. As their paths cross onstage and off, Trouble With Kids explores what it really means to “have it all”… and what’s left when you don’t.

Writer, Producer & Director Ben Nickless, said: “I’m so happy to be bringing Trouble With Kids to the Hope Mill Theatre. It’s such a beautiful, intimate theatre and Manchester audiences have always been incredible.

“The play is all based on real life events that will relate to anyone with kids or trying to have kids, it is full of comedy with a touch of heart. The cast is incredible and they are all exceptionally strong comedy performers and familiar faces from TV and theatre.

“The individual characters are the real strength to what is an extraordinary story. I’m so excited, slightly nervous but I really can’t wait for everyone to see it.”

Written & Produced by Ben Nickless in association with Edward J Productions.
